Situated on oceanfront Collins Avenue in the heart of Millionaire's Row, Fontainebleau Miami Beach is one of the most historically and architecturally significant hotels on Miami Beach. Opened in 1954 and designed by Morris Lapidus, it was the most luxurious hotel on Miami Beach, and is thought to be the most significant building of Lapidus' career.

Responsibilities

The VIP Service Coordinator will be responsible for providing courteous and expedient service to all VIP guests. The VIP Service Coordinator serves as the guest personal contact prior to arrival, throughout guest stay and post departure. The VIP Service Coordinator works with many departments throughout the hotel to ensure requests are met in a timely manner and all aspects of the guests' stay are seamless.

 
Examples of Duties, includes but is not limited to the following: 
  1. Provides VIP Guest the highest quality of customer service in a fast, friendly and timely manner. 
  2. Coordinates RSVP responses for mid to high-end customers' special events and necessary accommodations.
  3. Performs general duties including phone, and computer terminal data entry. Ensures initial guest contact is courteous, informative, and thorough.
  4. Able to form positive relationships with guests.
  5. This position must possess skills as a problem solver in stressful situations as well as being task oriented with multiple responsibilities.
  6. Acts as a role model and presents oneself as a credit to Fontainebleau and encourages others to do the same.
  7. Adheres to all department/company policies and procedures.
  8. Maintains upbeat, positive attitude, friendly and helpful demeanor, positive energy and enthusiasm from one interaction to the next.
  9. Utilizes smiles and frequent eye contact and friendly tone of voice to project warmth and friendliness.
  10. Perform concierge duties and other related duties as necessary or assigned.
  11. Standing or walking for long periods of time. Professional shoes in alignment with the front office/concierge grooming standards. 

Qualifications

  • Well organized and demonstrated strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff. 
  • Previous hotel experience preferred.
  • Bilingual highly desireable.
  • High school education or equivalent. College degree preferred.
