Situated on oceanfront Collins Avenue in the heart of Millionaire's Row, Fontainebleau Miami Beach is one of the most historically and architecturally significant hotels on Miami Beach. Opened in 1954 and designed by Morris Lapidus, it was the most luxurious hotel on Miami Beach, and is thought to be the most significant building of Lapidus' career.

Responsibilities

The Revenue Analyst is responsible for assisting the Director of Revenue Management (DORM) in all revenue management functions of the property. This includes compiling, preparing, and analyzing data to create reports and forecasts that support revenue decisions. The Revenue Analyst will play a key role in supporting revenue strategies by managing room inventory, rate structures, and distribution channels, as well as assisting with the preparation of key revenue reports. This position will also work closely with other departments to ensure effective utilization of revenue management strategies across the property.

 

Examples of Duties, includes but is not limited to the following:

 

  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Prepare and review daily pickup reports, sales forecasts, and monthly revenue reports.
    • Analyze revenue trends, occupancy, and average daily rate (ADR) to identify opportunities for revenue optimization.
    • Assist in the creation of 15-day, 30-day, 60-day, and 90-day forecasts.
  • Revenue Management Support:
    • Assist in the preparation and execution of pricing strategies and rate structures for rooms and function space.
    • Work with the DORM to manage room inventory and adjust pricing to maximize revenue across all distribution channels (e.g., GDS, website, call center).
    • Collaborate with marketing teams to support the rollout of promotions, packages, and offers.
  • Call Center and Vendor Liaison:
    • Analyze and report on call center performance, including conversion rates, service levels, and guest feedback.
    • Support the training and coaching of call center staff to align with revenue strategies.
    • Work closely with call center teams to ensure proper communication and alignment with revenue goals.
  • Revenue Systems and Tools:
    • Maintain and update revenue management systems (PMS, GDS, and other distribution tools).
    • Utilize data analytics tools to evaluate and optimize pricing strategies and forecasting accuracy.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with Front Office, Reservations, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure effective communication of revenue strategies and hotel performance.
    • Participate in meetings to provide updates on revenue performance, analysis, and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate data insights to various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
  • Strong understanding of hotel distribution systems (PMS, RMS, GDS, and TPI).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive financial data.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Hospitality Management, Finance, or a related field, or a combination of four years of relevant education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in hotel revenue management, reservations management, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Experience with hotel distribution systems and revenue management tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in training and coaching staff, particularly in a cross-functional team environment.
