Situated on oceanfront Collins Avenue in the heart of Millionaire's Row, Fontainebleau Miami Beach is one of the most historically and architecturally significant hotels on Miami Beach. Opened in 1954 and designed by Morris Lapidus, it was the most luxurious hotel on Miami Beach, and is thought to be the most significant building of Lapidus' career.

Responsibilities

Responsible for preparing & serving cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages for guests in a courteous and efficient manner; adhering to the Hotel Standards.
 
Examples of Duties, includes but is not limited to the following: 

1. Set up Bar according to BEO in absence of bar porter

2. Assist Bar Porter in setting up bar

3. Display appropriate product and glassware as instructed by captain

4. Display appropriate décor as instructed by captain

5. Verify product and quantities as appropriate for the function

6. Be familiar with BEO and group information

7. Ready for service 15 minutes prior to start time on BEO or as instructed by captain

8. Communicate with guests to obtain drink order

9. Prepare beverage as per guest request or department standard

10. Keep bar clean and organized free of dirty glassware, trash etc.

11. Do not display cash in any form on or around bar, passively soliciting gratuities

Qualifications

  • Ability to function in a team or independent setting.  
  • Knowledge of all liquor laws and regulations concerning service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff. 
  • Minimum 2 years related experience preferably in high volume banquet environment.
